St Nicholas OOSH

The Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is committed to supporting family life as the foundation of society and of the Church. One aspect of this is providing educationally sound and professionally staffed education services through St Nicholas OOSH, which operates from the parish hall at 30 Oakland St, Glendale.

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday: 7am-8:30am and 2.45pm-6pm offering before and after-school care

Monday to Friday: 7am-6pm during school holidays offering our vacation care program

The service may also open on pupil-free days from 7am-6pm. The service is closed public holidays.

Fees

Fees for before and after-school care are inclusive of breakfast and afternoon tea.

Fees for vacation care are inclusive of breakfast and afternoon tea. Incursions and excursions may incur additional fees.

Parents are eligible to receive the weekly Child Care Subsidy to reduce fees.

Daily fee rates are available by requesting a Parent Information Package.

Staffing

St Nicholas OOSH is staffed by a professional team with a range of qualifications and experience as well as some working towards a formal qualification. All staff have current first-aid, asthma, and anaphylaxis management certificates, have completed child protection training, and hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).

A nominated supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of each OOSH service.

Curriculum and Programming

The curriculum is based on My Time Our Place (MTOP) Framework for School-Aged Care, designed specifically for OOSH.
